The Panjnad ( Urdu پنجند) is a river in the Pakistani state of Punjab .

Its name literally means "five rivers", as the waters of the five major rivers of the "five rivers" Punjab unite in it. It arises near the city of Alipur around 60 kilometers west of Bahawalpur through the confluence of the Satluj , to which the Beas already flowed, and the Chanab , which is fed by the Jhelam and the Ravi . After 71 kilometers it flows into the Indus near Mithankot . A dam was built on the water-rich Panjnad for irrigation purposes.
