Pankraz Schuk

Pankraz Schuk ( pseudonym : Maximilian Stürmer ; born May 13, 1877 in Proßnitz / Moravia ; † January 13, 1951 in Maria Enzersdorf / Lower Austria ) was an Austrian postal worker and writer .

Life

Pankraz Schuk was the son of a shoe manufacturer. He grew up in Vienna from 1882 , where he attended elementary school from 1883 to 1888 and then a grammar school. From 1896 he worked as an intern in the Austrian postal service. His job took him from Vienna to Mödling and Berndorf an der Triesting . From 1903 Schuk was a postal assistant in Mödling, later post office director in Vienna. After the success of his first literary works, Schuk gave up his trained profession and became a freelance writer.

Pankraz Schuk was the author of historical novels , short stories , poems and plays .
