Pantaleon Giakoumis (born April 9, 1958 in Elata , Chios , Greece ) was the country manager of the Europa Union Germany European Movement NRW .

Life

After graduating from high school in Chios, he completed the preparatory college for foreign students at the University of Münster . 1979–1983 he studied political science, sociology, history and journalism and received a Magister Artium degree in 1983 . In 1987 he received his doctorate from the same university .

Giakoumis was a lecturer for international politics at the adult education center and for social policy at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster, after which he worked for a year in Würzburg at the International Center for German-Greek Cooperation . From 1991–1993 he worked on issues relating to the European Union in the NRW foreign company in Dortmund . From May 1993 to January 2013 he was the full-time state manager of the Europa-Union Deutschland European Movement in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Giakoumis is married, has two children and lives in Münster.

For the first time in 2009 a book on 9/24 Mastic Villages of Chios was published in Greek. Giakoumis has also published scientific articles / papers in magazines on topics of the European Union and the integration of foreigners in Germany.
