Paola Tiziana Cruciani (born January 29, 1958 in Rome ) is an Italian actress .

Life

Cruciani is a student of Gigi Proietti's “Laboratorium” and made her debut on stage with the cabaret group “La Zavorra”. On television she played under Ugo Gregoretti in Straparole (1981) based on Cesare Zavattini . Other screen works were Al Paradise (1983), Un'altro varietà (1986) and Europa Europa under the direction of Luigi Bonori . In 1989 she starred alongside Marco Messeri and Maurizio Mattioli in the first Italian sitcom , Stazione di servizio , directed by Bruno Corbucci . In the mid-1990s, the extroverted, expressive actress was one of the most sought-after, beloved and critically acclaimed stars in Italy. In addition to extensive television engagements ( Per amore o per amicizia , Paolo Poeti 1993; Addio e ritorno , Rodolfo Roberti 1996; Mamma mi si è depresso papa , Paolo Poeti 1996; Nuda proprietà vendesi , Enrico Oldoini 1998; Un Oscar per due , Felice Farina 1998; Le ali della vita , Stefano Reali 2000; Il rumore dei ricordi , Paolo Poeti 2000 and the series Compagni di scuola , Tiziana Aristarco 2002) have now added a number of cinema roles. In the new millennium, more series, television films and occasional cinema work followed. To do this, Cruciani took up the theater work again.

Cruciani was married to Paolo Virzì for a few years .
