Paolo Deganello

Paolo Deganello (born September 9, 1940 in Este province of Padua ) is an Italian architect and designer .

life and work

Paolo Deganello worked from 1963 to 1972 as an urban planner for the city of Calenzano near Florence and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence in 1966 . From 1966 to 1973 Deganello was a member of the Florentine designer group Archizoom . This group is considered to be the founders of anti-design in the 1980s. Other members were Andrea Branzi , Gilberto Corretti and Massimo Morozzi .

Paolo Deganello had lectureships in design at the University of Florence, the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and the Saar College of Fine Arts in Saarbrücken.

Deganello is particularly known for his designs for chairs such as the Archizoom office chair series and the AEO seating furniture .
