Katrina Noorbergen (born January 8, 1985 in Sydney , Australia ) is an Australian singer-songwriter . Since 2012 she has performed under the pseudonym Kat Vinter . Their genre is electronic pop music .

Life

Started with the Cassette Kids

In 2007 Noorbergen founded the indie rock band Cassette Kids with guitarist Daniel Schober, drummer Jabob Read-Harber and bassist Daniel Deitz, with whom she appeared in the Australian television series I Rock in 2010 and national and international artists such as Lily Allen , The Fratellis , Ben Lee , Bluejuice , The Music , New Young Pony Club and The Presets accompanied on their tours. In 2008 she was with her band for the J Award of the Australian youth radio station Triple J nominated. After the first EP We Are in 2008, the album Nothing on TV was released in 2010 and the second EP In Pictures in 2012 .

Career as a solo artist

In 2012 Noorbergen moved to Berlin and was signed to the music publisher Guerilla Entertainment and the AdP Records label . Since then she has been a songwriter involved in numerous titles of various performers, including 2,012 in Explode of Timomatic , 2013 at Atomic , Hey Caesar , 300 Years and Wildfires (Light It Up) by Ivy Quainoo , Are you gonna be my girl by Isac Elliot , Beautiful by Namie Amuro as well as Ni un minuto más and X-Ray Eyes by Chenoa , 2015 for Kill me in the dark and Running by Stanfour and Chance of Rain and Closer to the Sun by Stefanie Heinzmann . She was also the co-author of the title Jump the Gun for German ESC participant Ann Sophie and the Russian ESC contribution A Million Voices by Polina Gagarina , who achieved second place in Vienna and where she also appeared on stage as a background singer . In addition to the Beatgees and the Norwegian Laila Samuels , she was co-author of the album Crystal Sky by Lena Meyer-Landrut , which was released in May 2015. In the summer of 2015 she performed several concerts with Meyer-Landrut and in October 2015 she appeared as a support act for Lena on the Carry You Home Tour and also acted as a background singer.

In 2012 Noorbergen released her first solo single Stoneheart under the pseudonym Kat Vinter , followed in 2014 by the single Sooner or Later and in April 2015 her first solo EP Islands , which was recorded by the Beatgees and Laila Samuels in collaboration with Hannes Büscher. In September 2015 she completed her first solo tour through German cities, where she performed at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. At the beginning of 2016 the album Salvation by Madeline Juno was released , on which Noorbergen was involved as a co-author. In 2018 she worked on the album Invisible by electronic musician Sharam Jey .
