Paolo Renner

Paolo Renner (* 1958 in Meran ) is an Italian Roman Catholic theologian from South Tyrol .

Life

From 1972 to 1977 he attended the humanistic grammar school in Merano. He then studied agricultural science from 1977 to 1979 in Piacenza ( Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore ) and from 1979 to 1988 theology at the Gregorian in Rome ( Almo Collegio Capranica , Anima College). After ordination in 1985 in Brixen , he taught fundamental theology , religious studies and theology of religions as a professor at the PTH Brixen from 1988 . Since 1988 he has been pastor of the base community Cenacolo - Last Supper Community in Merano. After receiving his doctorate in systematic theology in 1992 with Angel Antòn at the Gregoriana, he has been director of the Istituto di Scienze Religiose in Bolzano since 1994 . From 2005 to 2019 he was a lecturer at the State College for Health Professions "Claudiana" . Since 2009 he has been director of DE PACE FIDEI. Ecumenical and Interreligious Institute for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation . From 2011 to 2015 he was Dean , from 2015 to 2019 Vice Dean of the PTH Brixen. Since 2017 he has been a pastor in the pastoral care unit Etschtal-Tschöggelberg.
