Papa Molina

Ramón Antonio "Papa" Molina Pacheco (born December 19, 1925 in Moca ) is a Dominican composer .

Molina studied at the music academy of his hometown with Arístides Rojas and became a trumpeter in the city orchestra. In 1942 he became first trumpeter of the renowned Orquestra San José of the radio station La Voz del Yuna under the direction of Julio Gutiérrez and Avelino Muñoz .

As a composer, Molina was best known for her boleros. Evocación has been recorded several times: by Alci Sánchez and Alberto Beltrán and the orchestra of Billo Frómeta , by Rafael Colón and the orchestra of Johnny Ventura and Betty Missiego and the orchestra of Bertico Sosa .
