Paradise Point is a district of the Gold Coast in the Australian state of Queensland . At the 2016 census, Paradise Point had 6,536 residents.

Location and breakdown by location

The district is located on the Gold Coast Broadwater and is bounded to the north by the Coomera River and to the west by Coombabah Creek . Since the place is on two waterways, various jetties and marinas were built. Sovereign Islands is a newly created, canalized settlement off the northern tip of Paradise Point and is accessed by a bridge road called the Sovereign Mile . Ephraim Island is off the southern end of Paradise Point and is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Off the coast is South Stradbroke Island . On the promenade there are restaurants, doctors' offices and a post office.

Paradise Point is an exclusive neighborhood with lots of multi-million Australian dollars worth of real estate. Of all the streets in Queensland, King Charles Drive has the fourth most lots valued at over a million dollars, according to a 2014 survey .

Events and leisure

On the fourth Sunday of every month, Esplanade Parklands hosts a public arts and crafts market, the Outdoor Arts & Crafts Market .

The parks along the promenade are popular spots for beach picnics and recreational sports. Playgrounds, barbecue and picnic areas and other public facilities have been created in Paradise Point with funds from a Gold Coast funding program.

There is also a community-run public sailing club, a senior citizens club, and a community hall. Paradise Point also has a Bowls Club with its own lawn.
