Paracite ( Persian پارازیت, IPA : pɑɾɑzit ) was a popular weekly half-hour broadcast in Persian on the Voice of America-Persian News Network . The show was a satire on politics in Iran . Kambiz Hosseini and Saman Arbabi , Iranian emigrants who lived in Washington, DC , produced the show in initially 10-minute episodes, which were later extended to half an hour. The show was influenced by the American satirical program The Daily Show . Because of their great success, Kambiz Hosseini and Saman Arbabi were invited to the Daily Show on January 20, 2011.
