The Parbati is a mountain in western Himalayas in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh .
The mountain bears the name of the Hindu goddess Parvati . The 6633 m high mountain lies on the border of the districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kullu . It is located in the main Himalayan range. The Bara Shigri Glacier has its nutrient area on the northern flank of the mountain. On the southern flank, the Dibibokrigletscher flows south to the Parbatital .
On June 10, 1968, the Parbati was first climbed by an Italian expedition (Marino Tremonti, Ferdinando Gaspard, Armando Perron, Claudio Zardini and Lorenzo Lorenzi). She reached the summit on the eastern shoulder of Dibibokri Col .
