description

The Parish Church of St. Serf is located north of the associated rectory off the A91 , which runs through the city as the main road, in the southwest of the city. Although the rectory was built in 1811, the church was only built between 1827 and 1829. As with the rectory, the design came from the Dunblane architect William Stirling . Architecturally, it has the characteristics of the Perpendicular Style . The building has a rectangular floor plan and consists of ashlar. The entrance portal is below a gable surface on the north facade. A small bell tower with an octagonal floor plan sits on top of it . Further gable surfaces are located in the middle on each side of the building. The associated hall was added in 1889. The church building was renovated in 1920 and 1970.
