Park Avenue was a personality magazine that was published monthly by Gruner + Jahr from June 2005 to January 2009 .

It was published until June 2007 by Klaus Liedtke, who is also editor-in-chief of National Geographic magazine . The basic journalistic concept was developed by the former FAZ and art editor Holger Christmann. The founding editor was Alexander von Schönburg . In August 2006, Andreas Petzold , who is also one of the two editors-in-chief of stern magazine, took over as editor-in-chief . From September 2007, Andreas Möller was editor-in-chief of the magazine.

The March 2007 issue was published once at the reduced price of 1 euro in response to the competition from Vanity Fair , which was also offered at the introductory price of 1 euro .

The magazine hit the headlines not only in the tabloids at the end of March 2007 after it published erotic portraits of the politician Gabriele Pauli in the April 2007 issue , who, as CSU men in particular, found them to be in the style of a dominatrix .

On November 19, 2008, the publisher Gruner + Jahr announced that it would cease production of Park Avenue with the 01/2009 issue due to the lack of market success.
