Park Hyoung-su (born August 11, 1972 in Chuncheon , Gangwon-do ) is a South Korean writer .

Life

Park Hyoung-su was born in Chuncheon in 1972 and graduated from Hanyang University with a bachelor's degree in Korean literature in 1999 . The following year, he published his first work What You Need to Know Before You Keep Rabbits ( 토끼 를 기르기 전에 알아 두어야 할 것들 ) in the Recommended Works by New Writer section of the June edition of the Korean literary magazine ( 현대 문학 ). In 2003 he published a collection of short stories under the same title, which received eight further stories. After completing a master's and doctoral degree at Korea University , he is currently teaching there as a professor of creative writing.
