Parker Stevenson

Parker Stevenson (born June 4, 1952 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ; real name Richard Stevenson Parker ) is an American actor .

Life

His father was a banker by profession and his mother Sarah Meade was an actress. He has two siblings, brother Hutch and sister Sarah. He went to school on the east coast in Massachusetts, then moved to college in New Jersey and later studied architecture at Princeton University. There he was on the rowing team called "The Sprints".

As a 14-year-old, he was already doing commercials (mostly for toothpaste) in New York and soon got smaller roles during the holidays. Stevenson never went to drama school. Originally he wanted to use the name Richard Parker as an actor, but that was already registered by another person.

In 1977 he became known with the television series The Hardy Boys / Nancy Drew Mysteries on the side of Shaun Cassidy . In 1984 he played the role of Joel McCarthy in the television series Falcon Crest . In Germany, he gained greater fame through the television series Torches in the Storm and Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu .

Stevenson was married to actress Kirstie Alley from 1983 to 1997 and adopted two children with her.
