The 2006 parliamentary elections in Latvia took place on October 7, 2006. It was the election of the 9th Saeima of the Republic of Latvia .

Electoral system

All 100 seats in the Latvian parliament were reassigned. The legislative period was four years. There was a five percent threshold . The election was based on proportional representation .

Election result

Out of 19 lists, 7 moved into the Saeima. The others failed at the 5% hurdle.
