The parliamentary elections in Latvia in 1995 took place on September 30 and October 1, 1995. It was the election of the 6th Saeima of the Republic of Latvia .
Electoral system
100 seats in the Latvian parliament were redefined. There was a five percent threshold . The election was based on proportional representation . The legislative period was four years.

Of 19 lists, 9 moved into the Saeima. The others failed at the 5% hurdle.

The election campaign is remembered mainly because Joachim Siegerist ( Tautas Kustība Latvijai ) had bananas distributed in order to win voters.
