Wilhelm Sperber (born March 14, 1908 in Nuremberg , † December 17, 1987 in Munich ) was a German film producer .

Live and act

After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Sperber first made a name for himself as an automotive specialist. In 1931 he became manager in the film, and later production manager and production manager . He worked for Bavaria , Tobis and most recently for UFA . The extremely elaborate propaganda and perseverance film Kolberg, shot on the instructions of Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels , stands out from his other work .

After the war, Sperber lived in Munich and founded the Merkur Film production company here. However, he mainly worked for other companies such as CCC and Bavaria as a production and manufacturing manager. Sperber was married to actress Mady Rahl for a few years .
