The 1998 parliamentary elections in Montenegro took place on May 31, 1998.

After Momir Bulatović was deposed as party leader and Milo Đukanović was his successor, there was a split within the DPS. Both then ran for the 1997 presidential election in Montenegro , with Đukanović with just under 51%. Thereupon the DPS – MB led by Bulatović was reorganized into the SNP.
