Presidential election in Montenegro 2013

The 2013 presidential election in Montenegro took place on April 7, 2013. The incumbent President Filip Vujanović from the Demokratska Partija Socijalista Crne Gore competed against Miodrag Lekić from the Democratic Front , an electoral alliance of the Movement for Change and New Serbian Democracy parties . Vujanović was already the favorite before the elections. He seeks rapprochement with the European Union and NATO . Lekić accused him of having enriched himself through corruption . There were 511,405 eligible voters. Vujanović was finally able to prevail with 51.21% against his challenger Lekić with 48.79%.
