Parliamentary elections in Somalia in 1984
The 1984 parliamentary elections in Somalia took place on December 31, 1984. These are the last national elections in the country's history.
The country was a one-party socialist state at the time , with the Somali Revolutionary Socialist Party ( SRSP ) as the only legal party allowed.
Voters were only asked if they would accept the list of 171 SRSP candidates. The official turnout was 99.86%.
