Pascal Berenguer (born  May 20, 1981 in Marseille ) is a French football player. Currently, the right-footed player in central midfield has been playing for the French first division club AS Nancy since 2003 .

Career

Berenguer had his football training in the youth teams of SC Bastia . In 1999 he was appointed to the professional team under coach Frédéric Antonetti , which was then playing in Ligue 1 , the first division of France. There he completed 1 game in the following two years.

For the 2001/02 season he was loaned to FC Istres in Ligue 2 . By 2003 he had played 61 games here, in which he scored 5 goals. During this time he also received the most yellow cards within a season of his career, when he received 9 yellow cards in 27 games (2 goals) in 2001/02.

For the 2003/04 season he moved to AS Nancy after his contract with Bastia expired . Here, too, he asserted himself as a regular player. In 2005 the club rose to Ligue 1, in 2006 Berenguer won the French league cup with AS . Pascal Berenguer has a contract with AS Nancy that runs until 2013.

Berenguer took part in several international competitions with French junior selections. In 1998 he became European champion with the U-18 selection , a year later he was in the French squad at the Junior World Cup in Argentina.
