U-18 European Football Championship 2000

The 16th U-18 European Football Championship was held in Germany from July 17 to 24, 2000 . The winner was France with a 1: 0 victory over the Ukraine . Germany finished third, defending champions Portugal , like Austria and Switzerland, could not qualify.

mode

The eight qualified teams are divided into two groups of four teams each. Within the groups, each team plays each other once. The two group winners reach the final while the runners-up play for third place. In addition to the semi-finalists, the third group qualify for the 2001 World Junior Championship .
