The 21 UEFA European Under-19 Championship was in the period from 18th bis 29. July 2005 in Northern Ireland held. The winner was France with a 3: 1 victory over England . Germany was eliminated in the semi-finals against the eventual title holder. Defending champions Spain , like Austria and Switzerland, could not qualify.
