1993 European Under-16 Football Championship
The 11th U-16 Football Championship was in the period from 26. April bis 8. May 1993 in Turkey discharged. It was the first UEFA tournament in Turkey. The winner was Poland with a 1: 0 victory over Italy . Defending champion Germany could not qualify. For the first time a quarter-final was played.
mode
The 16 qualified teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. Within the groups, each team played each other once. The group winners and runners-up reached the quarter-finals. From there on, the knockout system continued.

The U-16 national team of Poland thus became European football champions of the U16 / U17 juniors for the first time.
The winning eleven: Bladzewski - Mariusz Kukiełka , Drajer - Magiera, Kowalczyck (Janouski), Szulik - Rajtar, Terlecki, Andrujczack, Wyczalkouski, Koistounuski (Bielak)
