U-18 European Football Championship 1999

The 15th European Under-18 Football Championship was held in Sweden from July 18 to 26, 1999 . The winner was Portugal with a 1: 0 victory over Italy . Defending champion Ireland finished third, Germany , like Austria and Switzerland, could not qualify for the finals.

mode

The eight qualified teams are divided into two groups of four teams each. Within the groups, each team plays each other once. The two group winners reach the final while the runners-up play for third place.
