U-16 football championship 1991
The 9th U-16 Football Championship was in the period from 8. bis 18th May 1991 in Switzerland held. The winner was Spain with a 2: 0 victory over Germany . Defending champion Czechoslovakia could not qualify.

The 16 qualified teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. Within the groups, each team played each other once. The group winners reached the semifinals. The semi-final winners reached the final, the semi-final losers played for third place.

The national team of Spain became European champions of the U16 / U17 juniors for the third time.
The winning eleven: Javier (Redomdo) - Palacios - Castao, Exposito, Medina - Gerardo , Fontenas, Sandro, Emilio - Murqui (Daniel), Robaina
Antonio Robaina scored both goals.
