Sascha Licht (born September 27, 1974 ) is a German soccer player and coach who plays in the right midfield.

Career

Licht began his career at VfL Neustadt in Neustadt near Coburg . He later switched to Viktoria Coburg. After good performance, he joined the youth team at 1. FC Nürnberg . In the 1992/93 season he was in the club's Bundesliga squad for the first time. On the 24th match day of the season he made his Bundesliga debut after a substitution against FC Schalke 04 . Until 1994 he was not used in the Bundesliga and then moved to Dynamo Dresden . There he was only used once in the 1994/95 Bundesliga season . After the season, Licht left the club and moved to the then regional division SC Weismain , where he became a regular player straight away. Despite good performances, light could not prevent the club's relegation in the 1998/99 season. Between 1999 and 2003 he played in the 2nd Bundesliga for SV Waldhof Mannheim , where he made 93 second division games and 20 goals. Between 2003 and 2005 he went back to the Regionalliga Süd for Kickers Offenbach . After 18 regional league games, Sascha Licht ended his career there in 2005 and switched to FC Germania Forst as a player-coach. There he first managed to get promoted to the Landesliga Mittelbaden, in the 2008/09 season the club rose to the Verbandsliga Nordbaden in the 100th anniversary year. Licht was only sporadically active as a player; the separation followed in December 2009. Sascha Licht has been a player coach at FV Hambrücken since 2010.
