İnegöl is a town in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Bursa and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Bursa (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1986 . İnegöl is located on the road between Bursa and Eskişehir . According to the city logo, the place was raised to the rank of Belediye in 1870 .
history
The Turkish nomadic tribes settled in the area of Inegöl, out of which Osman I conquered the area in the 14th century and later formed the Ottoman Empire . The city is located on the Uludağ mountain range, which is located in a nature reserve. İnegöl is now a heavily industrialized city. The Boğazköy Dam and the Babasultan Dam were built in the district.
Since a regional reform in 2013, the Ilçe (district) is identical in terms of area and population to the district town, all 96 former villages ( Köy ) and 4 municipalities of the district became Mahalla (district) of the city. The existing mahalles of the four Belediyes ( Cerrah , Kurşunlu , Tahtaköprü and Yeniceköy ) were dissolved, those 33 of the 'county town' İnegöl were retained and thus totaled the number of mahalles to 133. Over time, the number of mahalles decreased through dissolution and merger Mahalles on 116.

İnegöl is home to the İnegölspor football club . The team mainly plays in the second-class TFF 1st Lig or in the third-class TFF 2nd Lig and has so far been more of a talent factory.
