Büyükorhan is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Bursa and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Bursa (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1986 . The city is located about 55 kilometers east of the center of Bursa. According to the city seal, the place was given the rank of Belediye in 1967 .

The district is located in the south of the province. It borders on Mustafakemalpaşa to the west, Orhaneli to the north, Harmancık to the east and the Balıkesir Province to the south . In the west of the district lies the Karaman Dağı mountain range, 1090 meters high .

The Büyükorhan Dam is located 5 km northeast of the city of Büyükorhan on the Cuma Deresi .
