Harmancık is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Bursa and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Bursa (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1986 . Harmancık is about 60 kilometers south of the center of Bursa . According to the city logo, the place received the status of a Belediye in 1973 .

The district is located in the south of the province. It borders in the west on Büyükorhan and Orhaneli , in the north on Keles , in the southeast on the province of Kütahya and in the southwest on the province of Balıkesir . The D230 trunk road runs through the district town and through the district and leads from Edremit in the west to Kütahya in the east. The river Kocadere flows south of the city and flows further west into the Aliova Çayı .

The former name of the village was Çardı.
