Markus Heppke (born April 11, 1986 in Essen ) is a German football player in the service of SpVg Schonnebeck and a former player of Rot-Weiss Essen .
Career
Heppke began his playing career with Blau-Gelb Überruhr in Essen-Überruhr , where he played in youth from 1992. In 1999 he moved to the youth team of FC Schalke 04 , where he won the DFB youth club cup of the youth teams in 2005. He scored a goal in the 3-1 final win against Tennis Borussia Berlin . From the 2005/06 season he played for the second team of FC Schalke 04 in the Oberliga Westfalen . The midfielder had his only appearance in the Bundesliga so far as a 20-year-old in the game at Energie Cottbus on November 18, 2006, when Heppke came on for Peter Løvenkrands shortly before the end of the game . On January 1, 2009, "the fastest player in the professional squad" of Schalke moved to the second division Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , with whom he received a contract until June 30, 2010. After this contract was not renewed, he moved to the 2010/11 season in the amateur area and signed with Wuppertaler SV Borussia , which had previously been relegated to the Regionalliga West . Despite an ongoing contract, he left the club after a year and was active again in his hometown when he signed with the regional league promoted Rot-Weiss Essen . In 2014, his contract in Essen was not extended and he moved to the league for SV Hönnepel-Niedermörmter . After two years, Heppke moved to league competitor SpVg Schonnebeck for the 2016/17 season .
Heppke played for various German junior national teams from the U-16 to the U-20 and took part in the U-19 European Championship in 2005 , in which the German selection reached the semi-finals.
