Alexander Banor Tettey (born April 4, 1986 in Accra , Ghana ) is a Norwegian football player . He is under contract with Norwich City .

Career

societies

Born and raised in Ghana, Tettey and his family settled in Norway in 1999 . At the age of 13 he joined the Bodø- based football club FK Bodø / Glimt and three years later moved to the youth department of Kolstad IL .

For the game year 2004 he signed the first division and Norwegian champions Rosenborg BK , who gave him for the game year 2005 to the second division Skeid Oslo on loan. There Tettey played five league games in which he scored two goals. Returned to Trondheim, he completed three more years of play before moving to France during the current fourth season (and after 89 league games and 12 goals) . On July 31, 2009, he signed a four-year contract with first division club Stade Rennes , which he left after three seasons in which he had played 60 league games and scored two goals.

For the 2012/13 season he was signed by the English first division club Norwich City , with whom he was relegated to the second division in the following season.

International matches

After Tettey had completed international matches for the youth teams of the U-18, U-19 and U-21 age groups from 2004 to 2007 , he made his debut for the senior national team on August 22, 2007 in a 2-1 win against Argentina . He scored his first international goal on March 28, 2015 in Zagreb in the 5-1 defeat in the European Championship qualifier against the selection of Croatia with the goal to make it 3-1 in the 81st minute. On March 3, 2017, Tettey resigned from the national team.
