Marco Stiepermann (born February 9, 1991 in Dortmund ) is a German soccer player who plays for Norwich City .
Career
Stiepermann started playing football in the youth of Borussia Dortmund. He made his first appearance in the Westfalenstadion when he was ten years old when he accompanied the new BVB professional Márcio Amoroso to his first game as a child on the field on July 28, 2001 .
In the 2009/10 season Stiepermann was still eligible to play for the U-19s of BVB, but made his senior debut in the second half of the 2008/09 season when he played for the second team of BVB in the Regionalliga West. He played his first Bundesliga game on December 13, 2009 at 3-1 in Wolfsburg , when he came on for Lucas Barrios in the 86th minute . In the second leg he scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 81st minute to make it 1-1.
From September 2010 he was also in the squad of the German U-20 juniors . In his second U-20 international match against Italy, he made it 2-0.
For the 2011/12 season, Alemannia Aachen loaned Stiepermann from Dortmund for a year. For the 2012/13 season , FC Energie Cottbus signed Stiepermann. He signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2015. In the 2014/15 season, the 23-year-old moved from FC Energie to SpVgg Greuther Fürth and received a contract until 2017. In summer 2016, Stiepermann moved to league rivals VfL Bochum, and one year later to England Second division Norwich City , who is coached by Daniel Farke . In the 2018/19 season he celebrated the second division championship with Norwich and rose to the Premier League . Stiepermann had contributed nine goals in 43 games.
