Pascal Lino (born August 13, 1966 in Sartrouville ) is a former French cyclist .

Cycling career

In 1987 Pascal Lino was an amateur third at the World Track Championships in Vienna in the points race . In 1988 he started at the Olympic Games in Seoul and finished fourth in the team pursuit and seventh in the points race. In the same year he won the French championship title in the team time trial with the Île-de-France team , together with Jacky Durand , Laurent Bezault and Thierry Laurent .

Lino turned pro in 1988 . In 1989 he won the Tour de l'Avenir , called Tour de la Communauté Europeènne that year , Paris-Camembert in 1998 and the Coupe de France racing championship in the same year . Lino also drove a total of 24 six-day races , in 1992 he won the Bordeaux with Peter Pieters .

Lino started ten times in the Tour de France . In 1992 he wore the yellow jersey for ten days and finished fifth overall. In 1993 he won a stage. In 2001 he ended his cycling career.

doping

Lino was punished twice for doping . In 1993 he was suspended for taking ephedrine . In 1999 he tried to get cortisone and was therefore banned from his team for two months.
