Pascal Sevran (born October 16, 1945 in Paris , † May 9, 2008 in Limoges ) was a French author , singer and television host.

Life

Sevran was born in 1945 as the son of a taxi driver. After his school days he worked as a singer , author and then as a TV showmaster. From 1984 to 1991 he presented the television program La chance aux chansons on the French television channel TF1 and then switched to the television channel France 2 with this program from 1991 to 2000 . Sevran was openly gay .

Sevran died in 2008 of complications from lung cancer . He was buried in the parish of Saint-Pardoux .
