Pascoal Mocumbi

Pascoal Mocumbi (born April 10, 1941 ) is a Mozambican doctor and politician .

Mocumbi was Mozambique's Minister of Health and Foreign Trade between 1987 and 1994 and Prime Minister of the country from 1994 to 2004. He left this position - Luísa Diogo was succeeded - to run for the office of Director General of the World Health Organization , but was not elected.

Pascoal Mocumbi is currently the director of the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP), the partnership between Europe and developing countries for clinical trials.
