Passel Pond

The Passel Pond is a small meltwater lake in Marie-Byrd-Land in western Antarctica . In the Denfeld Mountains of the Ford Ranges, it lies southwest of the base of Mount Passel .

Participants in the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) carried out the first mapping. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 based on the name of the mountain of the same name. Its namesake is Charles Fay Passel (1915–2002), geologist and radio operator on this research trip.
