Passione Co., Ltd. ( パ ッ シ ョ ー ネ 株式会社 Passhōne Kabushiki-gaisha ) is a Japanese animation studio.

history

Passione was founded on January 26, 2011 and claims to have 25 full-fledged employees and equity of 9.5 million yen .

The 2012 and 2013 Haitai Nanafa was the first anime series that Passione produced. With Rail Wars! , a 12-part anime series based on the manga of the same name by Takumi Toyoda , the studio implemented the second project between July and September 2014. Between 2015 and 2017 Passione produced the anime series Rokka no Yūsha and Hinako Note .

In 2017 the studio announced it was working on an anime adaptation of the manga series Citrus by Saburouta. The first episode was shown in Japan in January 2018 and ended in March of the same year. After the first three seasons of the anime series High School D × D was created by TNK , the fourth season High School D × D Hero was produced by Passione. The change of studio also brought changes in the animation style of the series, which was not well received by viewers and a petition was started on Change.org to return to the old style of the series.

In 2019, the studio is working on an anime adaptation of the manga series Z / X Code reunion , the first episode of which is planned for October of that year.

In addition to regular anime series, the studio developed in collaboration with the Studio Creators in Pack the original video animation (OVA) God Eater Reso Nantoka Gekijou to God Eater . The publication of two further OVAs is planned for 2019. It is an adaptation of the Manga series Bean Bandit and the survival horror series The Island of Giant Insects , the latter being a direct-to-DVD production. A new anime project on Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is being produced at Studio Passione .
