Pat Southern
Pat Southern (born June 22, 1948 ), actually Patricia Southern , is a British librarian and historian .
After training as a librarian, Southern studied Ancient History at the University of London , where she graduated with a BA . She continued her studies at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in archeology and made her master's degree . Her first book on the late Roman army was published in 1992, followed by ten more while Southern worked as a senior librarian in Newcastle's archeology department. Her main areas of work are emperor biographies and Roman military history.
