Pataudi ( Hindi पटौदी, Paṭaudī) is a small town (since August 1, 2001 a Municipal Committee ) with 20,418 inhabitants (2011 census) in the Indian state of Haryana .

It is located in the Gurgaon district . The district capital Gurgaon is located 28 km northeast of Pataudi.

Pataudi was the capital of the former princely state of Pataudi .
