Patience Cleveland

Patience Mather "Patsy" Cleveland Michels (born May 23, 1931 in New Hampshire , † May 27, 2004 in Santa Monica , California ) was an American film and television actress.

Career

Cleveland graduated from Miss Porter's School and then from Smith College. She learned theater under the direction of Hallie Flanagan . She has appeared in several television series, for example in the Seinfeld series , or in The Drew Carey Show and Angel . She has also appeared on Emergency Room and many other television shows. She was best known for the portrayal of Roberta Sparrow, called Grandma Death in the 2001 film Donnie Darko . She also starred in the play The Apple Cart alongside Anthony Perkinsand in Look Homeward, Angel alongside Maurice Evans on Broadway. In 1963 she wrote a children's book called The Lion Is Busy .
