Patricia Laffan (born March 19, 1919 in London , † March 10, 2014 there ) was a British actress .

life and career

Patricia Laffan, born in London in 1919, is the daughter of Arthur Charles Laffan and Elvira Alice Vitali. Patricia was educated and trained in Folkestone and at the French Institute in London. She studied for the stage at the renowned Webber-Douglas Dramatic School.

In 1945 the actress made her film debut in Sidney Gilliat's romantic drama The Last Sin . She played her greatest role in 1951, alongside Peter Ustinov as Poppaea in the monumental film Quo vadis? by director Mervyn LeRoy .

In the 1950s he made further appearances in Peter Graham Scott's crime film Dangerous Order , in Robert Parrish's thriller Shot in the Dark and in 1956 in Henry Hathaway's psycho thriller 23 Steps to the Abyss alongside Van Johnson , Vera Miles and Cecil Parker .

Since the mid-1950s, Laffan then played mostly in British television series.

In 1965, she finally retired from acting.

In 2008 Patricia Laffan was interviewed for the British documentary British B Movies: Truly, Madly, Cheaply . She died of organ failure on March 10, 2014 at the age of 94.
