Patrick Breitkreuz (born January 18, 1992 in Berlin ) is a German football player .

Career

Patrick Breitkreuz started playing soccer in Berlin-Lichterfelde at LFC Berlin and moved to Hertha BSC in 2006 . He played there until 2011 in the youth of the club and made his debut on May 21, 2010 in the game against VFC Plauen in the second team. In the 77th minute he was substituted on; the game ended with 1: 3 from the point of view of Berlin. He scored his first goal on May 21, 2010 in a 4: 4 game against VFC Plauen. In the 48th minute he scored the 3-2 lead.

In the summer break of 2013 Breitkreuz moved to the 3rd division at Holstein Kiel and received a contract that ran until 2015. He made his debut for his new team on July 13, 2013 in the SHFV-Pokal match against Union Neumünster. He came on in the 79th minute and scored the 6-0 final score in the 90th minute. He made his debut in the third division in a 1-1 draw at the Stuttgarter Kickers on August 10, 2013, when he was substituted on in the 87th minute. Breitkreuz scored his premier goal in the league on October 19, 2013 in the game against VfL Osnabrück . In the 35th minute he scored the 1-1 final score. In his second season with Holstein Kiel, Breitkreuz reached third place with the team and qualified for the relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga. After a goalless draw in the first leg they had to admit defeat to TSV 1860 Munich 1: 2 in the second leg and stayed in the 3rd division.

After this season Breitkreuz left Kiel and switched to Energie Cottbus , where he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2017. He made his debut on May 26, 2015 in a 2-0 win against Halleschen FC . He was in the starting line-up and brought his new team 1-0 up in the 37th minute. After relegating to the regional league with Energie Cottbus, he left the club in summer 2016.

In January 2017, he joined SV Wehen Wiesbaden and received a contract that ran until 2018, but was not extended after the 2017/18 season. Shortly after the start of the 2018/19 season, he joined the Würzburger Kickers . He played here until the 2019/2020 winter break, but then no longer played a role in the squad planning in Würzburg. In January 2020, Breitkreuz joined VSG Altglienicke in the Regionalliga Nordost .

Breitkreuz's twin brother Steve is also a professional footballer.
