Steve Breitkreuz (born January 18, 1992 in Berlin ) is a German football player . The central defender will play for the second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue from the 2018/19 season .
Career
Breitkreuz, like his twin brother Patrick , started playing football in Berlin-Lichterfelde at LFC Berlin and moved to Hertha BSC in 2006 , where he played in the youth teams until the 2010/11 season and for the second team from the 2011/12 season.
For the 2015/16 season he moved to the 3rd division for FC Erzgebirge Aue . In this season Breitkreuz scored five goals in 36 league games. In his first second division season in 2016/2017 , Breitkreuz played 35 competitive games every 3,180 minutes for the club and scored the decisive goal in the 90th minute of the 2-1 away win against FC St. Pauli on October 14, 2016.
Breitkreuz's fellow competitor Eintracht Braunschweig joined them for the 2017/18 season. His contract was valid for 3 years. However, this was terminated prematurely after a year.
For the second division season 2018/19 he moved back to Aue, where he signed a contract valid until 2021.
