Philipp Riese (born November 12, 1989 in Neubrandenburg ) is a German football player . The midfielder has been under contract with FC Erzgebirge Aue since 2015 .

Career

Riese began his career at FSV Meuselwitz and later moved to the youth department of VfB Leipzig . After this club was dissolved, Riese continued to play at the successor club 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig before moving to ZFC Meuselwitz in 2006 . In 2008 he made the leap into the first team of the ZFC, with whom he rose from the Oberliga Nordost to the Regionalliga Nord in his first senior season . Riese completed 87 regional league games for Meuselwitz and scored two goals.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to third division Arminia Bielefeld , for whom he made his professional debut on the first day of the game against Alemannia Aachen . With Arminia, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season , and Riese made 22 appearances. In the second division season 2013/14 he came to 27 games and three goals, but he could not prevent the direct relegation with Bielefeld. Riese then moved to 1. FC Heidenheim in the summer of 2014 .

For the 2015/16 season Riese went to FC Erzgebirge Aue in the 3rd division . In his first season for the Violets, Riese scored two goals in 37 league games. With Aue he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. Riese has a contract until 2023.
