Pascal Testroet [ pasˈkal tɛsˈtʁoːt ] (born September 26, 1990 in Bocholt ) is a German football player . He is mostly used in attack and has been part of the FC Erzgebirge Aue squad since the 2018/19 season .
Career
In the club
Testroet began his career at SV Biemenhorst, Olympia Bocholt and VfL Rhede . From 2000 to 2008 he played for the youth teams of FC Schalke 04 . On December 2, 2007 he was substituted in for the major league game of FC Schalke 04 II against VfL Bochum II shortly before the final whistle. In this short stint he scored a goal.
SV Werder Bremen
For the 2008/09 season he moved to Werder Bremen and signed a two-year contract. On July 26, 2008, he played his first game for Werder Bremen II in the 3rd division , in which he was used for about 65 minutes in the game against SpVgg Unterhaching . In the 2008/09 season he was the top scorer of the Junior Bundesliga North / Northeast. In December 2009 Werder offered the young striker a professional contract, which he signed. This was initially valid until 2012. After Testroet was not substituted on the last Bundesliga matchday of the 2010/11 season against 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which was insignificant for Werder, despite great staff shortages, he criticized coach Thomas Schaaf via Facebook and was thereupon from the until further notice Professional squad suspended.
Kickers Offenbach
For the 2011/12 season he moved to Kickers Offenbach , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2013. His start in the OFC jersey was promising with four goals in the first eight match days; at the winter break he was the top scorer of the Kickers with seven goals. After a falling out with coach Arie van Lent , Testroet was no longer used in the second half of the season and thereupon dissolved his contract, which ran until 2013.
Arminia Bielefeld (on loan to VfL Osnabrück)
For the 2012/13 season he moved from Offenbach to league competitor Arminia Bielefeld , where he received a two-year contract. Behind his storm colleagues Fabian Klos and Sebastian Hille , Testroet was mostly only third choice; the season was nevertheless successful and in the end he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Arminia.
The following season began for Testroet with an injury that did not improve the connection to the starting eleven. Shortly before the end of the transfer period, he therefore moved to the 3rd football league for VfL Osnabrück on loan until the end of the season . Since the summer of 2014 he has been back in Arminia Bielefeld's squad. In April 2015 it was announced that he had signed a 3-year contract with league competitor Dynamo Dresden for the new season . For his "old" club Arminia Bielefeld , he scored the 2-2 equalizer against Jahn Regensburg on the penultimate match day of the 2014/15 season , which sealed Arminia's promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga .
Dynamo Dresden
He played his first competitive game for Dynamo on the first day of the match in a 4-1 win over VfB Stuttgart II , where he came on for Tim Väyrynen in the 68th minute . He scored the first goal for his new club on August 13, 2015 on the 3rd match day of the 2015/16 season in the home game against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . He scored his second goal for Dynamo Dresden just 4 days later in the benefit game against Bayern Munich , in which he scored the much-acclaimed consolation goal against the record champions in the 1: 3 defeat. On January 30, 2016, he scored a fallback goal against the second team of 1. FSV Mainz 05, which was named Goal of the Month for January 2016. Overall, Testroet formed the league's most dangerous storm duo together with Justin Eilers in his first season for the Saxon club , reached 3rd place in the scorers list with 18 goals behind Eilers and Christian Beck and was twice promoted by the kicker sports magazine in the promotion season for Dynamo Player of the day chosen. After the season, Testroet's current contract in Dresden was extended for another year until June 30, 2019. In the following second league season he lost his regular place in the storm to Stefan Kutschke , so he only made short appearances and was injured for a long time in the second half of the season, so that at the end of the season there were 3 goals and 4 assists in his statistics. After Kutschke's club change for the 2017/18 season, Testroet hoped for more playing time this season, but was seriously injured in the knee in a duel with opposing goalkeeper Mark Flekken in the home game against MSV Duisburg on matchday 1 , which resulted in a downtime of forecast for several months. The club signed the Finnish international Eero Markkanen as a replacement .
FC Erzgebirge Aue
After the first matchday of the 2018/19 season , it was announced on August 7, 2018 that Pascal Testroet was moving from Dynamo Dresden to rival FC Erzgebirge Aue for a low five-digit euro amount . In the 2018/19 season he played every league game for FC Erzgebirge and proved to be the team's most successful goalscorer with 15 goals. Testroet has a contract until 2023.
National team
Due to his good performance at the beginning of the 2009/10 season for Werder Bremen II, Testroet was called up by Horst Hrubesch for the U-20 national team's friendly against Switzerland on October 9, 2009 . There he was used in the starting XI. The attacker previously played in the U-18 of the DFB . Testroet's last appearance in the German U-20 team was on February 9, 2011 in a 3-1 win over Italy .
