Erik Majetschak (born March 1, 2000 in Bad Lausick ) is a German football player who is under contract with FC Erzgebirge Aue .
Career

Beginnings in Leipzig
Majetschak's career began at Bornaer SV , a club from the Leipzig area . At the age of nine he switched to the youth team of 1. FC Lok Leipzig for a short time . In 2010 he finally switched to the youth department at RB Leipzig .
In August 2018, Majetschak signed his first professional contract with a term until June 30, 2019. He mainly continued to play for the A-Youth in the A-Junior Bundesliga . Majetschak was used for the first time in the Europa League for the professional team . In this competition he made his competitive debut against BK Häcken in the 2nd qualifying round on August 2, 2018 , when he came on for Emil Forsberg in the 64th minute . In the main competition, he was used for the first time in the 2-0 win against Celtic Glasgow after being substituted in in the closing stages.
FC Erzgebirge Aue
For the 2019/20 season, Majetschak moved to the second division Erzgebirge Aue , where he received a contract that ran until June 30, 2022.
National team
Majetschak has been playing for German national youth teams since 2015. With the U-17 national team , he took part in the U-17 European Football Championship in 2017 , but failed there in the semifinals in the selection of the eventual winner Spain . Erik Majetschak was able to mark a goal in five games at this tournament and wore the captain's armband .
Private
Erik Majetschak is the son of the former GDR Oberliga player and current President of the Leipzig City Football Association, Dirk Majetschak. His brother Toni, who is six years older than him, plays as a central defender for FC Eilenburg in the Oberliga Nordost .
