Jan Hochscheidt (born October 4, 1987 in Trier ) is a German football player . He will play in midfield for FC Erzgebirge Aue from the 2018/19 season .
Career
In his youth, Hochscheidt was active at the clubs Hertha 03 Zehlendorf , 1. FC Union Berlin and Energie Cottbus . In the men's division he played for the amateur team from Energie Cottbus until July 2008, from which he moved to third division club FC Erzgebirge Aue in 2008 .
In the 3rd division he made his debut on August 26, 2008 in the game against Eintracht Braunschweig . In the 2009/10 season he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with the Auern. The first season in the new league was successful for Hochscheidt and FC Erzgebirge; During the 2010/11 winter break , the newcomer was at the top of the table, and at the end of the season it was enough for fifth place. Hochscheidt scored five goals in 31 games. Also in 2012/13 he was one of the top performers in the team and scored ten goals. On the last day of the match, the club secured a league game with a goal from Hochscheidt.
After the season he moved to Bundesliga promoted Eintracht Braunschweig. There he signed a three-year contract until 2016. He made his Bundesliga debut on August 10, 2013 (1st matchday) in the 0-1 defeat at home against Werder Bremen . On the 5th day of the match he tore a muscle bundle and was out for the rest of the year. He scored his first Bundesliga goal on February 15, 2014 (21st matchday) in a home win against Hamburger SV with the final score of 4: 2. At the end of the Bundesliga season , Hochscheidt had made 21 appearances, 19 of which were from the start, in which he had scored four goals. The Eintracht rose at the end of the season, however, so that Hochscheidt also went into the second division. On the first match day against Fortuna Düsseldorf he was seriously injured again and pulled an adductor tear, so that he missed 14 games of the season. After playing at Eintracht U-23, he made his comeback on the last day of the first half of the season when he was substituted on in the 80th minute of the game against 1. FC Union Berlin . He scored his first goal of the season on the 28th matchday in the game against 1860 Munich .
In his third season at Braunschweig, Hochscheidt remained injury-free and made 29 missions in which he scored three goals. At the end of the season he received a new contract until 2018. In the 2017/18 season , Hochscheidt scored another three more goals for Braunschweig. After Eintracht was relegated to the 3rd soccer league , Hochscheidt moved back to FC Erzgebirge Aue. He signed a contract until 2021.
