In that year he finished seventh in the Austrian elite time trial championship, ninth in the U23 time trial of the European road championships and twelfth at the road world championships . In 2019 he became Austrian U23 champion in the individual time trial for the second time, won the Gran Premio Industrie del Marmo and won a stage of the Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia .
